Water analysis with mLINE pipette in Norway

Uses mLINE pipettors for method development and routine analysis in large series
Cecilie Sandberg at the Norwegian institute for water research (NIVA) works with ecotoxicology and exposure. Together with her colleagues, she’s doing ecotoxicological tests on live organisms (algae, fish, etc…) and in vitro systems (liver cells from fish) to estimate environmental damage effects of chemicals and spill from sewerage cleaning plants and industry on water.
The lab personnel use pipettors in bio cursor analysis to measure the biological effects of environment toxicology from fish weave tests. They also work with quantification of gene expression (real-time PCR).
Due to method development and routine analyses performed in large series, the NIVA lab needed an ergonomic pipettor model. After comparing different pipettor models, the light weight, and the very low tip ejection and pipetting forces of the Biohit mLINE convinced the lab workers at NIVA. The easy maintenance and calibration of mLINE is also highly appreciated in the lab.
